Civil Engineering Student's Association - CESA is a departmental student's committee and has been organizing various lectures, conducting various events and carrying out projects. CESA, VJTI has been successfully hosting STHAPATYA, a national level annual technical fest, in month of February and have been receiving huge response from all over Maharashtra and other states of India.
The Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute was established in 1887. Since the time of inception, VJTI has been playing a very vital role in producing quality engineers, introducing new programmes, and electives in emerging areas. The institute was granted financial and academic autonomy from June 21, 2004. The institute is reputed for excellent training in Engineering and Technology at Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate levels and Research. Presently VJTI offers B.Tech programmes in nine core disciplines of engineering, 17 M.Tech programmes, M.C.A and PhD programmes in various engineering disciplines.
STHAPATYA is an annual technical fest hosted by Department of Civil Engineering, VJTI held under the aegis of the Civil Engineering Society in month of February. We organize various events related to the field of Civil Engineering to gauge students' ability to apply foundations of Civil Engineering into practice. Since its inception in 2017, Sthapatya has conquered a huge success in the field of engineering and corporate sector. Sthapatya 2020 was a huge success and since Sthapatya 2021 is going to be held virtually, it is going to reach even greater heights.

We had an interactive session with four alumni from the batch of 1998, all now well settled now and residing abroad. They discussed about how Civil Engineering Societies abroad are different from ours and what all skills should we be learning to succeed in our careers as Civil Engineers.
We had the privilege to have Mr. Jayant Patil, Minister of Water Resources of Maharashtra and also former VJTI student, as our chief guess during STHAPATYA 2020. He also was the inaugurator of the event. In his speech, Mr. Jayant Patil stated how impressed he was by all the innovative events organized and the concepts behind them. He also stated how glad he was to accept our invitation and that he could witness the fest and our events live.
During our Entrepreneurship Week 2021, we had provided young enthusiasts with an opportunity to learn the ways of entrepreneurship from a personality who had herself reached greater heights in Civil industry by nurturing the leader within her. Priyanka Gupta, the founder of Rezovate Constructions, gave us a talk on how she got into Civil industry as an entrepreneur inspite of not having any Civil Engineering background and why inspired her to do so.
In awake of the ongoing pandemic, CESA, VJTI has decided to go online and hence we will be holding STHAPATYA 2021 online and you can participate in any of the events from comfort of your home.
Open the event tab and go through the rules and regulations of the event. Then click on the register button and register for the event. For events where you have to participate in teams, state one team head with whom communication will happen. And then list remaining team members.

There is no "last date" as such. (Of course before the events xD) But, the registrations will be closed as soon as we reach our upper limit per event. So, hurry up!
